An awareness camp was organised at GSSS, GandhuKalan village school under Tandrust Punjab Mission by Horticulture Development Officer-Budhlada. Students were encouraged to adopt kitchen and school nutritional gardens as social entrepreneurship to tap the demand of organic and chemical free fresh vegetables and fruits. Students were also made familiar with the multifaceted benefits of growing own chemical free food to provide income support to family. HDO Budhlada, Vipesh Kumar, also told students about importance of stray plantation of heritage and native fruit trees for benefiting environment and birds. A tree of moringa and Baheda was planted by principal Dr. Gian Singh in the school along with other staff. They promised to start school garden as open class learning.
