Today, a Kisan mela was organized at Sri Muktsar Sahib by KVK with the cooperation of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. On this occasion, a large number of farmers from various villages of Sri Muktsar Sahib participated. The progressive farmers were honoured by the KVK. On this occasion, the Kisan mela provided useful information about the sowing of wheat and at the same time encouraged them to directly market their produce. The wheat seeds recommended by Punjab Agricultural University were sold and demos of agricultural machinery were also shown to the farmers.
