Tomato crop, stem and leaves are falling black due to blight disease

Tomato crop has been hit by blight disease due to the weather. Due to the effect of the disease, the leaves of the plants are yellow and fall, and the plants have become black spots. Due to this tomato plants have started rotting. According to agricultural experts, this problem has arisen due to unseasonal rains. Concerns have started drawing on the foreheads of tomato producing farmers.

Nowadays tomatoes in the entire area including Gutkar in Bagh Valley, Baggi, Hatgarh, Dadoh Dhaban, Lohara Nalsar, Bhiura, Rajgarh, Stoh, Khandla, Kummi Ghata, Taanwa, Sakroa Gagal, Chandayal, Sihan, Bhadayal Bahana, Chakkar, Nagachala Ratti Sai The crop has been affected. Tomato is cultivated in about 10,000 hectares of land in the valley. Tomato is the main means of economy of the farmers here. Flowering is happening in tomato plants at this time.

Himachal Kisan Union state general secretary Sita Ram, district head Bhup Singh, head of Sundernagar block Hemraj Sharma, Sayohli unit head Bhagat Ram, Duni Chand, Gagan Sharma said that tomato crop has been hit by blight disease. The stems and leaves are drying after turning black. Due to lack of information, farmers are not able to buy medicines. Tomato crop is the only major cash crop. This is how the family lives. The government and the department should take appropriate steps. 

Agriculture Development Officer Mandi Dr. Ramesh Chand said that due to unseasonal rains and the plant is more dense, blight disease develops. The drug is available in seed sales centers.
