The Kisan Morcha will today conduct a protest against the new agricultural law

November 05 2020

Progressive Kisan Morcha office bearers will protest against the new agricultural law made by the Center at the old bus stand in the city at 12 noon on Thursday. Morcha officials say that the three agricultural laws enacted by the central government are the biggest attack on farmers since independence. As per the recommendation of the Swaminathan Commission, it was promised to give one and a half times the support price of the cost, but after coming to power, the Modi government is forgetting its promise and making anti-farmer law, By which farmers can be looted easily by selling them in the hands of traders and corporates. The central government is now going to end the system of minimum support price. By purchasing the crop of the farmers at their desired price, they can loot it and later by pressing the same grain, the consumer can be looted by creating an artificial crisis. At the same time, the Chhattisgarh government will also demonstrate about the delay in paddy purchase and the delay in payment of paddy purchased last year. The organization s district president Ram Sahai Verma has appealed to the farmers to participate in this demonstration in large numbers.
