Cyclonic storms in the western states of the country proved to be a problem for the people of Toute, but after the rains due to this in northern India, the demand for the vegetables of the mountains has increased drastically. Demand for mountains of vegetables has increased after rains in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana, due to poor crop of vegetable crops in the plains.

On Friday, pea, cauliflower and francabean were sold at record prices in Dhali mandi of capital Shimla. However, low arrival of vegetables in the market is also being said to be the reason for the rise in prices. On Friday, peas sold at a record rate of Rs 75 per kg, cauliflower at Rs 16 per kg and francabean at Rs 63 per kg in Dhali mandi.
