Demand for Himachal garlic increases in Tamil Nadu among Covid

The demand for garlic of Himachal among Covid is increasing day by day in the outer states. Most demand is coming from Tamil Nadu. Due to increasing demand for garlic, farmers are also getting the right price. Earlier garlic was being sold at 40 to 80 rupees per kg. Now, according to the grade, garlic is being sold from 50 to 100 rupees per kg. According to the information, the garlic of Himachal is rich in medicinal properties. Its demand has increased across the country.

Himachali garlic acts as a panacea in strengthening the immunity system. Even to avoid the Covid epidemic, people are now using garlic more in their everyday food than before. Due to this, the demand of Himachali garlic, which is full of medicinal properties, is continuously increasing in the mandis of the country. The weather was also adverse this time, but the garlic crop has been good in the irrigated areas. In areas that depend on rain, the garlic crop was in the grip of drought. Due to this, the size of garlic could not be made.

The way the demand for garlic is increasing in the mandis of the country, trends are coming out that the producers are likely to get better prices for their produce in the future. So far, more than a thousand quintals of garlic have arrived in the vegetable market. Secretary of Vegetable Market Solan, Dr. Ravindra Sharma said that the agricultural produce has started to reach the garlic market from Sirmour for sale in Mandi Solan. So far, more than one thousand quintals of garlic have reached the market. Himachal garlic is in high demand in Tamil Nadu. In the coming days, in addition to the district Kullu, other districts are also expected to reach Garlic for sale in Solan Mandi.
