Punjab Arvi-1: The variety was developed in 2009. This is a tall plant having green leaves which are obliquely erect and are large in size. It has medium thick and long corms. The corm is brown in color which contains creamy inner flesh. The variety gets mature within 175 days of planting. It gives an average yield of 90qtl/acre.
Makhan Arvi: It has round tubers and per tuber has an average weight of 25gm. The vegetable of these tubers are delicious and are made quickly. Plants are of medium height and light green color leaves. The variety matures in 75-85 days.
Bada Banda, Desi Banda: It has round and hard tubers and the average weight of per tuber is 130gm. The variety is sown in June-July month. The variety matures in 120-125 days.
Gauraiya, Bansi, Faizabadi, Desi, BaruaSagri: The variety has 3.5-4cm long tubers and the average weight of per tuber is 35gm. The variety is suitable for sowing in February-March month. The variety matures in 95-100 days.
Satamukhi: Horticulture Research Station released this variety. Ready to harvest in six to seven months. Tubers are with excellent cooking quality. Gives average yield of 8.8ton/acre.
PanchaMukhi: Leaves are also used for cooking. It is high yielding variety. Gives average yield of 9ton/acre.
Sripallavi: Leaves are also used for cooking. It is high yielding variety. Gives average yield of 9ton/acre.
NDC 2: Round, oblong tubers. Gives average yield of 7.2ton/acre.
KCS 2: Long duration variety with high yield. Gives average yield of 14ton/acre.
KCS 3: Short duration variety with good yield. Gives average yield of 10ton/acre.
