Farmer Grows ‘Monster Pumpkin’ that is Heavier than a Small Car

Stefano Cutrupi, a farmer from Tuscany (Italy) has grown a huge-sized pumpkin and has broken all records. Also there are several medical benefits of pumpkin leaves that one must be aware of.

Stefano has grown this huge vegetable is going by the name – “Monster Pumpkin”, weighing 1226 kg, which is heavier than a small-sized car. According to Guinness World Records, it weighs as much as 17.5 adult men.

Many farmers experiment with hybrid plants, and others grow huge-sized vegetables and fruits. But there are some farmers who grow unique vegetables on the field. ‘Monster Pumpkin’ is the heaviest in the world.

“There are no secrets. It is all about pursuing “the goal” with method and perseverance” – said Stefano when asked for the tips to grow the next record pumpkin.

The official Guinness World Records report says that he has been growing giant pumpkins since 2008. On 26th September 2021, this year’s huge ‘Monster Pumpkin’ was presented at the 10th edition of the Campionato Della Zuccone pumpkin festival in Peccioli (near Pisa). The representatives from the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth made the assessment and confirmed that “the quality of the product is good enough to be entered for competition.”

“I felt incredible emotions from the moment I saw the pumpkin arrive on the truck. In reality, no one really knows the weight of a pumpkin until it is certified on the scale, but seeing the size of that pumpkin and touching it, I immediately felt a shiver inside me. It had to be the new world record! I was convinced of it” – stated Emanuele Garofano, one of the Judges at the festival.

As reported by the Guinness World Records, Cutrupi also claimed the second and third places at the Lo Zuccone contest, with two other entries weighing 978.99 kg and 794.51 kg respectively.
