Under the direction of Dr. KP Verma Dean of Agriculture College, Mrs. Kunti Banjare, scientific horticulturist is doing research. This crop can be planted in all those places where water is very less, the soil is light. It can be cultivated successfully in those areas where there is a high incidence of animals and monkeys. Its plant is prickly. It can be grown in almost all types of soil but sandy loamy soil is good for its cultivation. 25 to 40 degree temperature is necessary for its growth. In today s environment where medicines are being used wildly in every crop, which is causing great harm to our health. To grow this crop, very little chemical fertilizers are required and diseases and diseases are also less. This crop is very suitable for organic farming, because a good crop can be obtained even by giving normal compost manure.

Availability of proper amount of water and good quality soil is required for the production of any crop. Farmers get a profit of 1 to 2 lakh rupees by planting crops in such soils, many problems have to be faced in planting crops in dry, light, reflux soils, but by planting dragon fruit crop in such soil, they have earned a lot of profit. can go. This fruit is sold in the market at Rs 80 to 200 per kg. sold for more than Rs. Farmers can earn a net income of Rs 5 to 6 lakh per hectare by selling it at the lowest price (Rs 80).
