Vet Varsity students enlightened for writing perfect research articles

Realising the importance of publishing the quality research findings in established and reputed journals, the Directorate of Human Resource Management Centre, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana organised two-days’ workshop on “How to write perfect research publication for High Impact Journals and dissertation. Prof. Naresh Rakha, Former Dean, Post Graduate Studies, at Veterinary University in Hisar was invited to guide the Postgraduate researchers. Dr. Rakha had long experience of conducting research at Hisar as well as at University of Liverpool (UK), ILRI (Nairobi), Hokkaido University of Japan and Melbourne University, Australia. As faculty and postgraduate research scholars at GADVASU are engaged in socially useful research and innovation of the highest quality. Supplementing the scientific information pool, globally, by the results of our research by high quality publications is also equally important so that the knowledge thus generated can be used by any innovator and researcher for public good.
During the workshop a large number of PG Students listened to his suggestions and recommendations. Dr. Rakha emphasised on formulating research projects of direct application by the stake-holders, ingenuous recording of research observations and explicit presentation. He also shared his views on the techniques to overcome procrastination and writers’ block. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor lauded the efforts of the directorate to organize this workshop of important lectures for sensitizing budding scientists, research scholars and the Postgraduate students to boost the postgraduate teaching and research at veterinary varsity.
Dr. H.S. Banga, Registrar of the university said as per the need of the hour the valuable tips provided during lectures will help the students to build them as a good scientist. Dr. S.K. Uppal, Dean Postgraduate studies delivered the presidential address and motivated the students to bring more laurels, as they are the backbone of the university. Dr. L.D. Singla, Director Human Resource Management highlighted that views provided during these lectures will enlighten, motivate and increase the potential students to write quality synopsis, thesis and research papers for publishing.
