Haryana government s big step: Extended crop loan repayment date, 3.5 lakh farmers will get relief

The Haryana government has given a big relief to 3.5 lakh farmers who are suffering due to Kovid. The due date for payment of repayment of crop loans has been extended. With this, farmers will get interest relief of about Rs 35 crore.

Cooperative Minister Dr. Banwari Lal informed that Registrar Cooperative Societies has issued an order in this regard. Farmers will now be able to repay the crop loans given through primary agricultural cooperative societies according to the new date.

As per the decision of the government, the repayment date for Rabi crop loans was from September 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021. Payment could be made on or before June 30, 2021. The government has increased it to August 31, 2021. Similarly, the loan repayment date for Kharif crop 2021 was from March 1, 2021 to August 31, 2021. This has been extended till September 30, 2021. The government has taken this big step in the welfare of the farmers. Along with other classes, the farmers have also been affected a lot by Corona.
