Farmers income will be doubled with improved quality seeds

In order to meet the challenges of climate change, along with the need of modern technology, the agriculture sector also needs advanced seeds. The economic system of the farmers is very bad due to fake seeds and adulterated pesticides. In order to crack down on false seed companies and pesticide manufacturers taking advantage of legal loopholes, the government has prepared a plan for a new act.

Indian Council of Agricultural Research has prepared seeds for different types of crops rich in nutrients like protein, iron, zinc and vitamin A to double the income of farmers of India and to tackle problems like malnutrition.

On the previous day, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the way the economy of our country has been disturbed due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, many schemes have been announced to improve it and encourage farmers. At the same time, it has also been said that the focus of ICAR was earlier on high-yielding crop varieties, they never paid attention to the problem of crop nutrition, and climate. Important nutrients were found in small quantities in those varieties of crops, as well as the crops were immediately affected by things like insects, viruses and strong sunlight, wind.

Crops 21 varieties will be provided to the nation

Finance Minister Sitharaman said that ICAR has developed varieties of such crops, which are rich in nutrients like protein, iron, zinc and vitamin A. . He said, “These seeds are mature enough to withstand diseases, pests, drought, salinity and floods in crops and they mature quickly. Let us tell you that 21 such varieties of many other crops including rice, peas, millets, maize, soybean, tur and jowar will be provided to the country.

Big announcement for the farmers of Northeast

The Finance Minister has announced a revival package of Rs 77.45 crore for the North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation (NERAMAC) on the basis of the stimulus package, so that the farmers of the region can get a good price for their hard earned produce. Let us tell you that this corporation was formed in 1982 with the objective of helping the farmers in Northeast to get remunerative prices for agro-horticulture and products.

The objective of NERAMAC is to enhance the agricultural, procurement, processing and marketing infrastructure in the country. There are a total of 75 Farmer Producer Organizations/Farmer Producer Companies in the country which are registered with NERAMAC.

Get rid of agents

NERAMAC has made a business plan to give 1015 percent higher price to the farmers, in which they will not need the help of any agent.
