Agricultural scientists planted medicinal plants to avoid the third wave of corona

The scientists of the Agricultural Research Center are making people aware about planting crops and their good yields, as well as about medicinal plants. During the first wave of Corona, he prepared medicinal plants at the center. These ready plants were made available to the residents of the city only at the cost of cost. At the same time, farmers were provided free of cost under the schemes. With the money received from these plants, the plants are being prepared again so that they can be reached to more and more people. So far 3500 saplings have been made ready. In view of the possibility of third wave, more number of saplings are now being made available. Their variety has also been increased so that people are inspired to apply them and understand their importance.

People have understood the importance of medicinal plants in increasing immunity during corona infection. The number of people applying them and consuming their decoction, powder etc. has increased. The scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra have been trying since last one and a half years to make people aware of this changed lifestyle and importance of gardening at home. They were started in March 2020, they were ready in May-June 2020. By September 2020, around 1500 people had taken them. Now about 3200 people have put their information in the house.

Expanded in one acre

Earlier, saplings were being grown inside a shed in the science center which has now been increased to about one acre. Apart from medicinal plants, fruits, flowers and ornamental plants have also been planted. Papaya, Banana, Turmeric, Surajna etc. are being liked the most. Especially the villagers are planting them outside their homes.

Sunflower leaf powder

Surjane seeds sourced from Karnataka were planted in the science centre. Within five to six months, its plants have grown and now pods have started coming in them. Plants are also being given to the farmers coming here by telling its benefits so that they can earn income by planting it in the field or near their house. It is also being sold in the research center itself by making powder from sunflower leaves. Organic manure is also being made.

Plants of this variety

Adusa, Satavar, Sweet Neem, Neem, Giloy, Lemongrass, Kalmegh, Kali Tulsi, Surjana, Gudwell, Ramphal, besides Papaya, Mimosa, Jackfruit, Turmeric, Aloe Vera and ornamental plants have also been planted here.

These are special properties

Krishna Tulsi

There are five types of Tulsi. Out of this, Krishna Tulsi has been planted in Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The leaves, roots, branches and seeds of this basil all have medicinal value. It is effective in curing all types of fever, cold. Tulsi keeps the body fresh. Its demand has increased during the Corona transition.

Giloy

It is a vine-like plant. It can be planted anywhere. Giloy contains iminogovin. People drink its decoction by making it. By making a decoction of the stem of Giloy, most people consumed it in corona infection.

Ashwagandha

It helps in increasing the metals in the body. Its regular consumption increases immunity, which is helpful in preventing any virus from showing its effect in the body. It is consumed with milk.

Increased production

Work is being done on medicinal plants in Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Till now, whoever took them, they are making it available to the people along with making the decoction.
