Submit applications to be honored at the September PAU's Kisan Mela

The Director Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana has invited nominations from progressive farmers and women farmers to be honored at the PAU's Kisan Mela in the month of September like every year. The details of the awards are as follows:
Mr. Dalip Singh Dhaliwal Award: To be given to those farmers who grow their own crops in their fields. Apart from the amount of Rs.5000 / -, this award also includes a letter of commendation.
Parwasi Bharti Award: This award will be given to a diverse farmer. Apart from the amount of Rs.8000 / - in this award a letter of appreciation will also be given.
S. Ujagar Singh Dhaliwal Memorial Award: To be given to the farmers who sow vegetables on 60% of their total land. Apart from the cash prize of Rs. 3100, a letter of appreciation will also be given in this award.
S. Surjit Singh Dhillon Award: This award would be given to progressive farmers who own less than five acres and cultivate it themselves. The amount of this award will be Rs.5000 / -.
Sardarni Jagbir Kaur Memorial Award for Progressive Farmer Women: This award is reserved only for Progressive Farmer Women. The amount of this award is 3100/-.Apart from that the winner would also get a letter of appreciation and token of honor.
Bhai Babu Singh Award for Best Pond: For this award the pond should be 4 feet deep and have a minimum area of 2 Kanals. The award will be given on the basis of cleaning, maintenance and use of pond water. In this the Panchayat of the village / town would be given an amount of Rs. 20,000/- an appreciation letter and token of honor.
All these awards will be given at the PAU's Kisan Mela in the month of September. The government department from where the farmers can obtain the Forms to send their name for the nominations are given below.

After filling up this form, it is required to be delivered to the Head Office, Director Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana by July 15, 2022. Separate applications will be accepted for each award.
