PAU Postponed Kisan Mela

In view of the directives issued by the Central and the Punjab Government regarding Corona Virus, Punjab Agricultural University has decided to postpone all its Kharif Kisan Mela. The series of farmers' fairs were going to held  at different places , March 12 at Gurdaspur and Faridkot, Patiala on March 17, Ludhiana on March 20-21 and Bathinda on March 25.

Giving information on this, Dr. Jaskaran Singh Mahal, Director, Extension Education, said that this decision was taken  at a meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon. The Chief Medical Officer Dr. Pooni was also present along with PAU registrar, director research and other dean director.

Dr. Mahal said that it is our social duty to follow the directives of the National Health Mission, Punjab Government in such a critical situation. He clearly  said  that the farmers would get seeds, bio-fertilizers and farming materials at the seed stores of Krishi Vigyan Kendra / Regional Research Center in view of fulfilling demand  of farmers regarding the kharif crops. Seed and farming shops will be open seven days a week at PAU's gate number one. He assured that the farmers will not face any kind of problem.
