Important instructions for farmers by the Punjab Mandi Board

The Punjab Mandi Board has issued important instructions to the farmers for the purchase of wheat, which are as under:

• The concerned Secretary, Market Committee will issue coupons of 50 quintals each to the commission agents for selling wheat in their respective markets.
• Farmers can buy more or less than 50 quintals wheat from a coupon of 50 quintals.
• Wheat harvesting time will be from 6am to 7pm.
• The date passed by the Market Committee will be released from 13.04.2020.
• The official procurement date for wheat will start from 15.04.2020.
• The coupon with hologram will be considered valid.
• Farmers should contact their commission agents to get their coupon.
• The wheat should not be brought to the market without the coupon (pass) by any farmer.
• Not more than one person is permitted on a tractor / trolley to bring wheat.
• Clean and dry wheat should be brought to the market.
• Wheat loading / unloading should be done on the date and place specified by the Market Committee.
• Cover the face with a mask / cloth all the time.
• Do enter the market only by thoroughly washing hands with soap or sanitizer.
• It is forbidden to spit in the market.
• Keep a distance of at least 6 feet among yourself.
• Support for the prevention of corona virus disease.
