When is the best time to plant sunflowers?

Sunflower Sowing Time: January is the best time to sow sunflowers. The crop sown on time demands less water as compared to the crop sown late (February-March). Due to late-seeded crop flowering and high temperatures later in the season, flowers remain small, fewer seeds form, and the majority of the seeds remain unopened, reducing crop yield. In the late seeded crop, the effect of diseases and insects is also greater. Sometimes such crops (especially the double-faced varieties, which take longer) get hit by unseasonal rains at the time of ripening.
