Ways to protect animals from Mastitis

• While milking animals, cleanliness should be maintained in and around the animal. 
  
• Milking should be done in 5-10 minutes and milk should not be left in the teats.
  
• After milking, the teats should be dipped in a 3:1 solution of betadine and glycerin.
  
• Keep the animal standing for 20-30 minutes after milking.
