Use of fertilizers after sowing of paddy crops

Rice: Keep water standing in the paddy field only for 2 weeks and thereafter apply irrigation 2 days after the ponded water has infiltrated into soil.

• In transplanted rice, apply second and third doses of 30 kg urea per acre each after 3 and 6 weeks of transplanting. The third split to short duration (PR 126 and PR 124) should be applied at 35 days of transplanting.
• Start transplanting of Punjab Basmati -7, Punjab Basmati -5, Pusa basmati 1637, Pusa Basmati 1718, and Pusa Basmati 1121 during the period.
• To check foot rot of Basmati rice, dip the seedling's roots for 6 hrs with Trichoderma harzianum @ 15 g/litre of water before transplanting.
• For the management of root-knot nematode, apply mustard cake @40 g per square meter 10 days before sowing of the nursery with last preparatory tillage operation after rauni.
