Mustard: Survey & observe the mustard field from time to time. choose 12 to 16 plants from an acre of field that is away from each other twice a week. Start this work in the first two weeks of January. Spraying is to be done if the number of seedlings at the end of the middle branch of the plant is 50-60 per 10 cm, or when the tip of the middle branch of the plant is completely covered with 0.5 to 1 cm of aphids, or when 100 plants in the field are examined, 40-50 percent of the plants should be sprayed with a fungus.
Chemical prevention: For its prevention, spray Actara 25 WG (Thiamethoxam) 40 g, or Rogor 30 EC (Dimethoate) 400 ml or Dursban/Coroban 20 EC (Chlorpyrifos) 600 ml of recommended quantity in 80-125 liters of water per acre. Use a holocon fitted back pump for spraying.
Precautions regarding the use of pesticides:
Spraying of pesticides on mustard should be done only afternoon. At this time, the insects that carry out the reactionary action are less active.
