Suggestions for farmers regarding fodder cultivation

Fodder Production: Take the first cutting of berseem. In case of manganese deficiency on the crop in light textured soils, spray Manganese Sulphate (0.5%) two weeks after the cutting. Conserve the surplus maize fodder as silage at milk dough stage. Take the last cutting of Napier bajra in early November because further delay will cause mortality of stumps. Sow oats, white senji or Fenugreek or Mustard as intercrop in Napier bajra and sow oats seed mixed with 1 kg seed of raya for more fodder yield.
