Suggestions for farmers growing Okra and Vegetables

Okra- Start the sowing of summer okra. To make germination in okra sow the seeds after soaking 24 hours. Improved varieties are Jamuna, OH-597, JOH-05-9, JOH-0819, Parbhani Kranti and Arka anamika. In okra cultivation spacing (Row x Plant) at interval of 60 x 45 cm.

Cucurbitaceous crops- Present weather is suitable for the sowing of cucurbitaceous crops. So farmers are start sowing of cucumber, bitter gourd and bottle gourd etc.

Vegetables- Due to favourable temperature for sowing of chilli, tomato and brinjal crops in the nursery and transplanting of young seedlings of tomato, chilli and cole crop may be done in this week. Arrangement of good quality of seed should be done from certified agency.
