Suggestion for farmers growing Mustard, Groundnut, Gram, Cucurbitaceous and Okra
It is advised to all farmers must wear mask on his/hir face and hand must be washed frequently with any soap at least for 2 mintues and keep 2 feet distance during field work in pandemic of COVID 19 period.
Mustard- When the mustard leaves fall and pods turn yellow, then harvest the crop otherwise shattering losses may be occurring.
Groundnut- Start the sowing of summer groundnurt. Improved varieties are TAG-24, DH-86 and GG-2 and Pratap raj groundnut. Use seed rate 100-120 kg/ha. Should be treated with Thiram @ 3g/kg.
Gram- At present timely sown gram crop is at maturity stage. So farmers are advised to start the harvesting of gram.
Cucurbitaceous- Present weather is suitable for the sowing of Cucurbitaceous crops. So farmers are start sowing of cucumber, bitter gourd and bottle gourd etc.
Okra- Start the sowing of summer okra. To make germination in okra early, sow the seeds after soaking 24 hours.
