Special instructions for Turmeric cultivation

• Start sowing turmeric at the end of this month.

• 6-8 quintal turmeric bulbs are sufficient for sowing one acre.

• Apply 10-12 tonnes of manure per acre before sowing. Apply 60 kg of single superphosphate at the time of sowing.

• Apply Consortium organic fertilizer (4 kg per acre) at the time of planting turmeric bulbs.

• Apply 16 gg Murate of Potash in potash deficient lands.

• Maintain row spacing of 30 cm and plant-to-plant spacing of 20 cm.

• Spread 36 quintals/acre of paddy straw evenly over the field, which will reduce water consumption, weed control and will increase crop growth.
