Preventing drying of mango branches and leaf blight
Mango Cultivation: This disease has a significant negative effect on mango production. High relative humidity, rain, and a heat flux of 26 to 32 degrees centigrade can aggravate the disease's onset. The disease causes the leaves to fall off and the twigs of most older plants begin to dry out top to bottom in most cases then the leaves start falling off. Sick twigs dry up, changing the color of the bark. There are cracks in the bark of such twigs and the pulp starts coming out of the bark.
To avoid this disease, take special care to prepare new plants, use disease-free pesticides and keep cleanliness in the garden. Remove the diseased twigs from the diseased area, burn them, and apply Bordeaux paste to the affected areas. After this, spray 2:2:250 Bordeaux mixture or Copper oxychloride 50 strength (3 g/Ltr of water).
