Maggots in onion crop
Maggot attacks: Maggot attacks are more common in some fields in January and February. The upper part of the affected plants starts turning brown from the edges downward. Onions and the green part above them fall to the ground and rot. These rotten onions have a half-centimeter-long proboscis, which is sharp on one edge. Bury the rotten plants in the soil.
