Keeping animals inside sheds from cold air in winter
Animal Husbandry: In winter, the entry of cold air inside the sheds affects milk production of animals. The combination of low temperature and cold air is harmful for the health of animals.
Research has proved that in those sheds which are open from both sides, if the passage of cold air is stopped through use of sheets at night then there is an increase of atleast 500 gram of milk production per animal as compared to those animals who are not protected from cold air.
Also to control moisture inside the sheds in cold weather, windows should be opened during the day for proper ventilation.
