Information for cultivation of mushrooms

Mushrooms Cultivation: After harvesting wheat, store the wheat straw in dry places so that it can be used for preparation of button mushroom compost in the month of September.

• Clean and disinfect rooms for Straw mushroom cultivation. For straw mushroom cultivation, make 1 to 1.5 kg bundles of straw and soak them well with water.
• Prepare beds for cultivation by sowing seeds in soaked bundles. Spray water twice daily on the floor of beds and rooms. After 10-12 days of spreading of the fiber, pruning of mushrooms starts which lasts for one month.
• To cultivate summer milky mushroom, straw is boiled in water, cooled, mixed with seeds and then packed in bags. After the fiber spreads (15-18 days), apply a layer of casing soil. Spray water twice daily for 30 days to continue pruning.
