Information about the right time of irrigation and Harvesting for vegetables

Vegetables: Harvest the cucurbits and other vegetables like tomato, chilli, brinjal and okra at regular intervals to get maximum yield. Irrigate crops regularly at interval of 4-5 days to avoid water stress.

  • For the control of purple blotch in onion, spray the crop with 300 g Caviet or 600 g of Indofil M-45 mixed with 200 ml of Triton or linseed oil in 200 litres of water per acre as soon as the first symptom of purple blotch appears in the crop. The spray should be repeated at 10 days interval.
  • For managing fruit borer in Tomato, Spray30ml Fame 480SL (Flubendiamide) or 60 ml Coragen 18.5SC (chlorantraniliprole) or 200ml Indoxacarb 14.5SC in 100 litres of water per acre. Observe the waiting period of one day after spray of Coragen and 3 days after spray of Fame.
