Important notice for potato growers and cold stores of Barnala

Farmers has started digging their potato crop. After harvesting and grading the crop is stored in cold stores in different cities by potato growers. The social and economic interests of many people are linked to this crop. Therefore, in the interest of the people, all the cold stores in Barnala district are ordered to be kept open till 15.04.2020 for the storage of potato crops. in compliance with the guidelines issued by the the Government of India, Punjab Government to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by the owner of the store, that they shall  maintain a social distance of at least 2 meters. They are not allowed to keep more than 10 labourers for loading and unloading under any circumstances. 

The potato growers will be responsible for providing the working labor and their families with daily use grocery, sanitizer, masks, etc. Cold stores and potato growers located in District Barnala will also follow the directions of the Punjab Government from time to time.
