Ideal feed for cattle in winter season

Animal Husbandry: Outside temperature is low during winter so in order to maintain their body temperature, animals need more ration.

• According to scientists, if a cow is given 7 Kg milk and buffalo is given 5 Kg milk daily, then they should be fed 25-30 Kg leguminous green fodder (Berseem, Lucerne, etc.), 7-8 kg dry fodder (wheat and rice straw), 2-3 Kg compounded feed and 30-40 gram mineral mixture daily.
• In case leguminous fodder is available in sufficient amounts, then 50-60 Kg green fodder, 4-5 Kg dry fodder, and 30-40 gram mineral mixture should be given per animal per day.
• When we are feeding such type of ration then there is no need to offer compounded feed to the animals.
