How to prevent young calves from fever and pneumonia at this time

Animal Husbandry: Young calves often suffer from fever and pneumonia during cold weather, so in order to save them from cold stress (hypothermia), warm blankets, bulbs, lamps, and heaters should be arranged at appropriate times.

• Calf starter and milk replacer should also be arranged in the required quantity. For calves below three months of age, feed should not be changed abruptly and frequently.
• Calves should not be kept on wet floors and also save them from the smoke of fires lit to protect them from cold.
• Combination of moisture and smoke can often lead to an increased risk of pneumonia. 
• Change their bedding at regular intervals and also deworm at the appropriate time.
