Expert suggestions for Kharif Groundnut Sowing

If irrigation facility is available than pre-sowing of Kharif groundnut should be done.

• For pre-sowing of Kharif groundnut select semi-spread GG.20 or erect GG.2, GG.5, GG.7 and TG-26 varieties.
• In Kharif groundnut apply 12.5 kg N/ha and 25 kg P/ha at the time of sowing.
• Apply 54.3 kg/ha DAP, 6 kg/ha Urea and 500 kg/ha Castor cake as basal dose.
• Seed should be treated with Dithane M-45/ mencozeb/vitavax @ 2 - 3 grams per kg of seeds before sowing.
