Advisory related to Mustard and Radish for the upcoming days

MUSTARD- Mustard/rapeseed is mainly in flowering/pod formation stage. Closely monitor the crop against leaf/pod eating insects which is very common in current stage and weather. Manual collection and disposal of larvae is advised. In case of heavy infestation, spray Azadirachtin 0.03% @ 5 ml/liter of water during clear/dry days. It will be also effective against aphids.

RADISH- Crop is mainly in flowering/maturity stage. Harvesting of the radish may be done in current weather. The light rain in the previous week may encourage aphid attack in the crop. Immediately remove the infected plants with aphids. In case of high infestation, during clear/dry days spray Malathion 50 EC @ 1 ml/liter of water twice or thrice at 10 days intervals.
