Advisory for farmers cultivating Wheat and Oil Seeds

WHEAT- Farmers can start harvesting of early sown wheat as clear weather is expected during coming days.

• Farmers are advised to apply light irrigation to wheat crop as per requirement so that water stress may not affect the yield of the crop adversely.
• In wheat crop, the ear heads of gulli danda plants should be removed/cut with the sickle or any other method, before they produce viable seeds.
• The adoption of this practice will significantly decrease gulli danda in next season wheat crop.
