Dr. Inderjit Singh joined the Dairy Development Department as Deputy Director in 1995 and currently he is serving as the Director for the same department. Holding the same position since 2008. He developed Commercial Dairy on scientific lining as a role model for the country and mechanized the dairy farming from fodder to cow dung management. He promoted direct marketing of milk and value added dairy products through practical training at 9 Dairy Training and Extension Centers spread over different regions of Punjab. He is also contributing towards Sahiwal Cow and Indigenous Cow Society for promotion of native breeds of dairy animals. He helps the dairy farmers through various platforms of Social and Digital Media and also marked the online presence of the Dairy Department. He is a regular speaker at "Mera Pind Mere Khet" programme of Jalandhar Doordarshan and Dihati Programme of All India Radio, Jalandhar. Inderjit Singh conducted/imparted various Trainings and fairs such as National Livestock Championship, Dairy Entrepreneurship Training, Training in Breed Improvement, Shelter Management, Marketing of Milk, etc. at Dairy Training Centers.
