Mr. G. Ajeethan is a technologist turned agriculturist with an On Farm experience of 28 years in the field of horticulture, especially growing banana. After a brief six year stint of industrial service in sugar mills, he redesigned his career to be a full time agriculturist practising latest Agro-technologies. His technical pursuit and acumen in growing tissue culture banana with drip irrigation and fertigation has proved better yield than conventional methods. Currently, he is serving as General Secretary of Tamil Nadu Banana Growers Federation. He unites the growers association of various districts and is working for the cause and development under the behest of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and National Research Centre for Banana. With his expertise and skills, he look towards serving his fellow farmers in various capacities with the help of technology dissemination.

• Received Best Banana Grower Award from National Research centre for Banana, Tiruchirappalli in 2003. • Received Best Farmer Award from Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF) Ltd Mumbai, for judicious utilization of fertilizers combined with organic inputs for better yield in oil seeds in 2005. Awarded with many more awards and accolades followed to recognise his contribution to the furtherance of activities in Agri and Horticulture Sectors.
