Dr. Kiran Gaikwad is working in the area of Wheat Breeding & Genetics, Molecular Breeding at Indian Agricultural Research Institute- (IARI), New Delhi as Scientist (Senior Scale) since 2015. He completed his Ph.D. in 2010 from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. Then joined the Plant Breeding Department in September 2011 at National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) , Hydrabad as a Scientist (Plant Breeding). Further, with his hard work and dedication, he joined National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), New Delhi in December 2011 as Scientist (Plant Breeding). Dr. Kiran has developed many Wheat varieties taking into consideration the problems of the earlier varieties. Along with his servings in the department, with his 11 years of experience, he has helped a lot of farmers through organising various training programs, extension work and solving their day-to-day problems. Dr. Kiran has more than 30 research publications and has received various awards for his tremendous work in the field of Plant Breeding.
