Amanjeet Singh joined the department of Agriculture Punjab in the year 1988 as an Agriculture development officer right after completing his MSc degree in plant breeding at PAU, Ludhiana. In 2013 he took over the position of Agriculture Marketing Officer, in Ludhiana. In 2021 was then promoted as the Deputy Director of pulses, Bhatinda. Currently, he’s serving as Chief Agriculture Officer, Ludhiana since 2022. He has ensured a 55% reduction in stubble burning in Ludhiana, in his career span of 35 years he has conducted many awareness camps for farmers on stubble burning and has transformed several lives he’s been awarded by Additional Chief Secretary, Punjab on significant reduce in stubble burning in Punjab.
