Harinder Singh Riar, owner of Riar Agriculture Farm, is a successful farmer of Punjab. He adopted agricultural diversification and out of the wheat-paddy crop cycle, he started organic farming of other crops like sugarcane, pulses, maize, chickpeas, vegetables etc. Harinder himself delivers the packaging of pulses to the customers. Along with farming, Harinder also prepares vegetables and sugarcane seedlings and helps other farmers in every possible way by telling them the solution to the problems in farming. To save water, he has installed drip irrigation system in his farm. Harinder Singh conducts farmer training camps from time to time to make the farmers aware about the multi-crop cycle and sugarcane sowing through seedlings method. In addition to taking a commendable initiative, Harinder Singh has created a group with 10 other farmers of his area who have jointly formed a bank for farming implements.
