Dr. Naresh Kumar Bainsla is a scientist in Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Division of Genetics New Delhi. He is working on genetic improvement of wheat for timely sown irrigated conditions. He is also focusing on designing crop plants with increased tolerance to lodging by systematically improving Root system architecture and stem strength including solid stemmed genotypes. We are in process of development of some in-house material and methods pertaining to above traits in addition to addressing the biotic stress resistance especially leaf and stripe rusts as integral part.
