Know about fish breeds and pond preparation in the plain areas

Fisheries: Provide 1 to 2 % feed for feeding according to fish weight, Use lime @ 200 Kg/ha/month, Maintain a minimum 1.5 meter level of water, disinfect the net and other equipments before and after use, harvesting and market of old fish stock, 

Pond preparation: Use cow dung/compost @ 10 q/ha and filled the pond with water upto one meter followed by application of lime @ 200 kg/ha. After 15-20 days when pond water become green in color, stock fish seed of Rohu, Katla, mrigal, silver carp, common carp, and grass carp species (4-6 cm) @ 6000-8000/ha.
