Information for sowing and varieties of black gram

Sowing of black gram should be done in the first fortnight of this month. Short duration varieties of black gram/urd like Pant Urd-31, Narendra Urd-1 should be selected. For sowing black gram, keep the seed rate 30-35 kg/ha and line to line distance 20-25 cm.
