Improved varieties for sowing wheat and berseem
Wheat: In unirrigated conditions, wheat varieties like- C 306, PBW 175, PBW 396, PBW 299, and PBW 527 should be sown in the second fortnight of October.
Berseem: Sowing of berseem should be done from 15th October. Berseem verities like UPB 110, Maskavi, Pusa Jayant, and Bardaan should be selected for sowing, and the seed rate should be 25-30 kg/ha.
