Under the PM-KUSUM scheme, applications for a 75% subsidy on solar water pumps are now open

To support farmers in Haryana with their irrigation requirements, the state’s department of new and renewable energy has decided to give a 75% subsidy on solar water pumps under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme on a first come, first served basis.
The PM KUSUM scheme explains that a 75% subsidy can be availed on the purchase of 3 HP, 5 HP, 7.5 HP, and 10 HP solar water pumps. The state government came up with this initiative to cut down on farmers' dependency on electricity.

The application can also be filled online from August 23, 2022 onwards. Since the scheme is based on a first come, first served basis, do ensure you fill in the form on time. Farmers can also reach out to their nearest CSI centre and can get their documents checked, fill out the form and pay the fees.
