New variety of Bottle Gourd by PAU
Bottle Gourd- Punjab Barkat is sown in Zone No. 5 comprising Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Adhra Pradesh as well as in Zone No. 7 comprising Madhya Pradesh and Goa. Bottle Gourd variety, Punjab Barkat is a thin-skinned variety with long fruits.
Average yield- 226 quintals per acre
