• A fresh active Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from today onwards.

Under the influence of above system

• Isolated to scattered rainfall is very likely over Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh on 22nd Jan and thereafter rainfall activity very likely to increase with fairly widespread to widespread rainfall over the region during 23rd January.
• Isolated heavy rainfall likely over Northern parts of Punjab and Haryana on 22nd January.
• Said spell is likely to be accompanied with Thunderstorm/Lightning with Gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) and Hail at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh on 22nd and 23rd January 2022.

Temperature

• No Large change in minimum temperature during next 2-3 days and fall by 4-5 ⁰C thereafter.

Advisory

• Drive carefully during rain.
• Avoid irrigation and application of Fertilizers & Pesticides due to expected rain.
• Avoid going out during thunderstorm/Hailstorm event.
• Keep harvested crop in safe place.
• Don’t take shelter under trees during Thunderstorm/Lightning.
• Don’t go near water bodies.
