• Crossbred animals also require special care during this time. Consult a veterinary doctor in case the animal falls ill.
• A healthy animal expresses heat signs within 50-60 days of calving. So watch the animal carefully for signs of heat so as not to miss it.
• Artificial Insemination (A.I.) should be carried out at appropriate time to reduce inter calving interval. If animal shows signs of heat in evening, then artificial insemination should be done in the morning and if the animal shows heat signs in morning, then artificial insemination must be carried out in the evening.
