IMD's Advisory for farmers

RICE: To control weed in rice field, when sky is clear farmers should spray Butachlor 50 EC @ 1200 ml/acre or Pretilachlor 50 EC @ 800 ml /acre, Metsfluron+Chlorimuron @8 g/acre, Hothaxisfuron 15 WDG @50 g /acre or 2, 4-D @400 ml /acre. To control the insect pest in nursery spray Chlorpyriphos 20 E.C @ 1 ml/ litre of water.

MAIZE: Farmers are advised for hand weeding in early sown kharif maize. When sky is clear farmers can also apply Topramizon @ 40 g ai/ha or Atrazine @ 1.5 kg ai/ha as early control of weeds.

VEGETABLE

CHILLI: Complete sowing of kharif okra and early variety of brinjal, chilli, cauliflower for seedlings. Transplant the kharif onion.

COW: Provide vaccination against Anthrax,Black Quarter (Dakaha) and Galghontu disease which will protect them from these diseases.If green fodder is not available for animals, then they should be given Vitamin A injections.
