Keeping the view the threat COVID-19 spread, farmers are advised to wear mask and hand should be wash with soap at reasonable interval and maintain social distancing while working in the field.
Harvest the Kharif crops where the crops are at physiological maturity and vacate the fields for sowing of Rabi crops like mustard and gram under conserved moisture conditions. Ploughing and planking should be done properly to conserve the moisture in the soil.
Mustard- Sowing of early mustard should be done. Mustard varieties are: RGN-73, Bio-902, (Pusa Jaikisan), Aashirwad, RH-9304 (Vasundhara), RH-9802 (Swarn Jyoti), RH-8812 (Laxmi), DRMRIJ-31 (Giriraj). Before sowing seed should be treated with Mencozeb @ 2.5g or Carbandazim @ 1g/kg seed.
Gram- Prepare the field for sowing of gram under conserved moisture. Gram varieties are: GNG-146, RSG-44, RSG-888, RSG-902, RSG-895, Pratap Raj Chana and Pratap Chana 1.
Taramira- Start sowing of Taramira in conserved moisture. Varities: T-27, RTSA, Narendratara, RTM-314. Seed rate-5kg/ha. Before sowing seed should be treated with Mencozeb @ 2.5g or Carbandazim @ 2g/kg seed.
Maize- Harvest the maize crop at physiological maturity stage and kept for sun drying.
Kharif Pulses- Harvest the green gram and black gram at physiological maturity when the pod color turn brown to black, otherwise there may be a decrease in production due to scattering the legumes.
Cauliflower- Undertake nursery sowing of late duration cauliflower. Advanced varieties- Pusa Snowball, K-1, Hisar-1, and Selection-7 seed rate- 375 to 400 g/ha.
Onion- Prepare nursery for onion crop in Rabi, Improved varieties- Punjab White Round, Udaipur 102, Nashik Red. Seed rate 10 kg per hectare.
